In the beautiful North Georgia mountains, blue spruce reach up to heaven. A sense of healing and communion draws Alisha Emerson there. She hopes that her unborn child can grow up in the promising new world she's begun for them both in the village of Dover Mountain. Then her labor begins unexpectedly, and only with the help of a stranger—entrepreneur Jared Murdock—is her son delivered safely.
But is Dover Mountain really the sylvan sanctuary of Alisha's daydreams? For although Alisha and Jared appreciate the love of God and neighbor that village life embodies, Dover Mountain incorporates darker elements, as well. Elements such as unwanted pregnancy, drug abuse, violence and blackmail. Together, Alisha and Jared must brave the storm and seek the rainbow that follows, in this captivating story of love, loss and faith regained.

Hoping to find a new life for herself and her unborn child, Alisha Emerson moves to the north Georgia mountains, a place of physical beauty and peaceful calm. When she unexpectedly goes into labor in a secluded cabin, a stranger helps deliver her baby. Jared Murdock has his own reasons for wanting to revisit the place where he has so many happy childhood memories with his grandfather. His business partner of 15 years has stolen his fiancee, and Jared has no choice but to sell out his share of their company. Although Jared and Alisha are looking for a haven where their hearts can heal, they discover that Dover Mountain has its share of troubles, too. Suitable for CBA readers, this title is also a good pick for romance collections and those who enjoyed Kristen Heitzmann's Halos or Hannah Alexander's Hideaway. Worth (whose Logan's Child won the Romantic Times Reviewer Choice Award for Best Love Inspired in 1998) was born in Georgia but has made Louisiana her home for over 20 years.
